Pastor MacArthur (Dr. PhD of Biblical Theology and Dean) has multiple years of advance theological training in scripture, Greek, Hebrew with exegesis knowledge of biblical prophesy, and Christian counseling. He is the Dean of one of a top Baptist seminary in California. He has written, which I believe around 160 books concerning multiple topics within Christianity. Pastor MacArthur is highly respected over the Baptist and Reform ranks, as well continuously engages in addressing members of the Body of Christ with information; such as written, and electronic communications (such as lectures, cd’s and so forth).

Mr. Joel Osteen has admitted he has never received one hour of biblical training nor did he want the position! I never would have guessed? Mr. Osteen admitted on Larry King’s talk show that there are many ways, which a person can receive Jesus and to go to heaven, while talking to King, he did not stand for what is righteous? Mr. Osteen uses pop psychology of positive and negative strokes and the works that resembles Dale Carnegie to spread his smiling beliefs of “Your good and I am good too”, at best. Mr. Osteen is somewhat weak on scripture, which very seldom, will he use a Bible as a reference point but he is strong in ecumenical in belief. Mr. Osteen is an expositor when it comes to the “Prosperity Light” message. He does have a great smile! Good teeth and a pretty wife that has a mean left hook (Just ask the stewardess on the way to Vail Colorado)!

Hmmmm, I wonder who I would listen to? Hmmmm I wonder who is correct Pastor MacArthur or Mr. Osteen.

  2. A. S. Mathew Says:

The disciples of Jesus had no PhD but they changed the world upside down. We
are giving too much weight to college degrees but most of the highly educated
people are far less effective than uneducated people who are simply trusting in
Jesus and preaching the gospel with a backbone. It is easy to find fault with
Joel Osteen, Judas could find fault with a sinner who spent everything she had
at the feet of Jesus. Our greatest problem is the highly educated theological
sadducees, who are ready to judge others by opening the Bible wide open.

If you find no error in Osteen’s doctrine, then neither I nor this blog will be of any benefit to you.
