Debates with a Jehovah’s Witness.

Knock, Knock A Jehovah’s Witness by the name of TJ has been going “door to door” in cyberspace. Actually he’s been going “blog to blog” with his messages of Hath God really said?

I engaged him on one blog regarding the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (which he denies occurred). If you’re interested in some good reading you can check out that interaction here. You can also find him spreading the poisonous doctrines of the Watchtower on the following topics as well:

Is the Watchtower Jesus Adequate?

Admitting Your Need of the Savior.

    Pilgrim,

After about 20 posts trying to get Jehovah’s Witnesses to have a conversation with me, TJ is the only one who has actually conversed with me. I’ve had bunches of them leave single comments, but it seems there must be some rule that they’re not supposed to check back. So, TJ seems to be the exception to the rule, and I’m grateful he took the time to talk to me. Unfortunately, I was unable to convince TJ that Moses was not a god, and he continues in his polytheism.

    Thanks,
    Bill

I suppose all we can do is pray for TJ & ask God to reveal Himself to him. Sadly, TJ, like all Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons & indeed many Catholics, etc., are following a counterfeit Jesus.

I’d be interested what those who know Watchtower theology think of my claim that they have a docetic Christ and neither a God nor man mediator -

And if you’d like to know what happens when YOU knock on a Watchtower door - try this:

it would be funny if only eternal hell were not a reality.

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting my own post! :) I do enjoy conversing with bloggers of a wide diversity of beliefs from time to time, including the ones I’ve spoken with here.

    Take care guys,
    TJ

    Dear TJ:

It certainly is unusual to debate with a JW. Usually we just get a drive-by comment like this one and this one and never hear from that particular JW again.

Perhaps because they can’t defend their beliefs with people who actually know the Bible or perhaps it’s because they’re afraid someone from the Watchtower might see them on a blog like this and then they’d they’d face excommunication, either way, they do the Watchtower more harm than good.

I really would like to see more discussions on the topic of Jehovah’s Witnesses (I posted plenty of topics on this blog), but they don’t seem to want to engage us or they’re afraid of being seen on an “apostate” blog.

Thank you for your time, patience, and willingness to not just drop a comment and run, but to discuss the issues.

    Sincerely,
    - The Pilgrim

    Pilgrim,

Just so you’re aware, I did have a new question for you over on the other blog.
