It was the spring of 2006 and I kept seeing Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses going door to door throughout the neighborhoods of my community. It got me thinking: What are the local Christian Churches doing to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to combat the spread of false doctrine in our community? Additionally I pondered about what I could personally do.
I then came across the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry website (www.CARM.org). They had a downloadable cult warning flyer. Eureka! This was exactly what I didn’t know I was looking for and exactly what we needed here in my town. I quickly went to work on my own version of a flyer and several months later, the new flyer was birthed.
Now, in the spring of 2008, I have updated and produced the second version of the cult flyer and am now offering it for you to download for free to distribute in your neighborhood.
I also encourage you to download my free tract to insert in each of the flyers. There are three identical tracts (front and back) to each page. Tract: Priceless
Simply print the cult flyer on 11 x 14 paper (front and back). Then print the tract (also front and back on 11 x 14 paper). Cut the tract into three, fold the cult flyer and insert one tract into each flyer. Then put a hole in the top with a hole punch, put a rubber band through it and it’s ready to be hung on doors.
I am currently working on six new tracts to download and insert in the cult flyer (each one different) and will make them available in the near future.
A Jehovah’s Witness by the name of TJ has been going “door to door” in cyberspace. Actually he’s been going “blog to blog” with his messages of Hath God really said?
I engaged him on one blog regarding the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (which he denies occurred). If you’re interested in some good reading you can check out that interaction here. You can also find him spreading the poisonous doctrines of the Watchtower on the following topics as well:
This is a classic! The man in this satirical video uses some ingenious methods in an attempt to prove that Jesus is not God. Although the video is in jest, it illustrates the absurdity of how some go to great lengths to make the Bible say what they want it to say, including denying Jesus’ deity (like Jehovah’s Witnesses).
Although the video is funny, the ramifications of those who deny Jesus’ deity certainly isn’t.
This is an interesting three-minute video. It starts off rather strange, and a few seconds into it you may find yourself asking, “Why am I watching this?” But hang in there. As weird as it may seem at first, it actually makes a fantastic point while using a little humor to drive that point home.
I just got through reading the brand new book Winning the Witnesses by Daniel Rodriguez (Evangelist to Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 22 years). It was a very good book; quick and easy read. This 107-page book deals with evangelizing Jehovah’s Witnesses using an entirely different method than suggested previously by such men as Walter Martin and Bill Cetnar.
In this book, Daniel Rodriguez explains why the old approach of throwing Scripture back and forth is mostly ineffective by outlining why no matter what verses you quote, the JW is conditioned to not accept what you’re saying. This is because they consider it to be your interpretation, not the Watchtower’s. And since you are viewed as a pagan under the influence of Satan, you can quote Scripture all day long to no effect because they will refuse to accept what you say, even if it’s printed in black and white in their own Bible.
The author’s approach is to sever the JW’s lifeline, the source of all their “truth” and understanding: Their utter dependence and blind obedience to the Watchtower Society. Rodriguez says that if you can help the JW to see that the Watchtower Society is not inspired, you can begin to make great progress with the JW. Rodriguez then provides simple insight on how to show them that the Watchtower Society is not only not inspired, but that they’ve never claimed to be and why they never can claim to be.
For those who want help in their evangelism efforts to JWs, this book is a must-have in your library and makes a great resource for future quick-reference.
I would love to put this author’s evangelism techniqueto the test, but unfortunately my house has been red flagged by the JWs.
“Most important, this magazine builds confidence in the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away.” Awake! October 8, 1995

The young boy in this picture (age 14) is dead. And who is to blame? None other than the Watchtower Bible and Tract Association, also known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Read the ABC news article here.
This is one of the reasons why reaching the cults is so vitally important. And yet there will still be people (even professing Christians) who will say that you’re not loving if you challenge false teachers and their false doctrines. They’ll even say such ridiculous and Biblically ignorant things like, “Jesus would never challenge their faith.“
If you listen carefully when they say these things you can hear the hiss from their forked tongues.
The best thing about this video isn’t the images, it’s the accompanying audio from 1967. Listen as the Watchtower’s circuit overseer Charles Sunutko tells of the fate to befall the world in 1975.
And yet the Jehovah’s Witnesses will sit in my living room and flat out lie to my face. They will deny that the organization ever taught or even emphasized the end of the world in 1975.
There’s an old saying that goes, “If you always tell you the truth, you never have to remember what you said.” This is so true, and cannot be seen more clearly than when dealing with cults.
In the two Watchtower publications below, watch how they get into a sticky situation by making up doctrine as they go. They inevitably (like all cults) make mistakes and contradict themselves. In this case, ironically, they actually speak a little truth and show that Jesus is God.
In 1955, who do the Jehovah’s Witnesses say is speaking in Revelation 22:12?

For those Jehovah’s Witnesses who want to keep their head in the sand, just keep telling yourself, it’s “new light.”
One thing that all cults have in common is their teaching that Christ’s sacrifice was insufficient in saving the sinner and that we need to take some part in our salvation by good works or deeds.
The Bible is very clear when it says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast,” (Ephesians 2:8-9). In spite of the clear teaching of the Scriptures, the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach the exact opposite.
The Watchtower Organization says, “To get one’s name written in that Book of Life will depend upon one’s works“ (The Watchtower, July 01, 1947).
One of the last known remaining members of the generation of 1914 that Jehovah’s Witnesses claimed would “not pass away” has died at age 109.
But fear not. As in usual fashion, the Watchtower Organization has changed their stance (a.k.a. “new light”) on what they said previously (a tactic Mormons employ very well themselves). Read more about it by clicking here.
The greatest difficulty with this approach is that no JWs are going to stop and listen. If any of them did they’d they would be excommunicated from their “church.”
Here’s a video clip filmed outside a Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall on their Memorial night. It’s the once a year tradition where Jehovah’s Witnesses meet to take part in communion. However, nobody actually takes the elements because in their belief system, only 144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses are worthy to do so and they’re all dead. Enjoy this 7 minute dramatization created by a former Jehovah’s Witness. It’s produced in good quality and accurately depicts the common JW’s approach to share their “gospel.” Six Screens Of The Watchtower are the creators of this video.
