I’ve found another uncompromising, convicting, powerful, must-hear sermon by Paul Washer. This is a compilation of highlights from a few different messages Paul Washer delivered at a 2007 conference. This is one of those Paul Washer messages that leaves you humble, contrite, and broken. Without further ado, I introduce you to your sermon of the week:The 2007 Reality Check Conference.

For those of you who listened to the sample teaser clip earlier this week and couldn’t wait to to hear the whole sermon, you wait is over!
Your Sermon of the Week is entitled The Stranger by Tim Conway. Pastor Conway delivers yet another convicting and uncompromising message as he tackles a taboo issue within the Christian Church today: Television viewing.
This is a message that (sadly) too many Christians need to hear.

Every Wednesday (or late Tuesday night) I post the sermon of the week. After hearing this message I could barely wait till Wednesday to share this one with you.
This week’s sermon is an absolute must-hear. It is entitled Unmasking the Pope and the Catholic System by John MacArthur. It is–hands down–the best message I’ve ever heard on Roman Catholicism . . . bar none.
Even if you have a minimal interest in understanding what Roman Catholicism is about, or no interest at all, I expect this sermon will change that. I also encourage those Roman Catholics who read this blog (I know you’re out there) to seriously listen to this. If you have the truth, then you have nothing to fear.
I’ll be moving this sermon into my “Top Ten” favorites.

There are those of you who value and cherish the selection of sermons posted here each Wednesday on the Sermon of the Week series. If you’re like me, one doctrinally sound, biblically accurate, Christ-honoring sermon a week simply isn’t enough. So I am happy to announce that starting today you now have a reason to look forward to Saturday’s on Reformation Nation.
Every Saturday I will post a new sermon from Pastor Mark Escalera of Grace Baptist Church. Pastor Escalera is teaching through the book of Ephesians and today we will begin his series with message one: Ephesians: An Introduction. So now you have two sermons to devour every week from Reformation Nation!
Enjoy. Learn. Grow. Sola Deo Gloria.

This week’s sermon is by Paris Reidhead and is entitled Ten Shekels and a Shirt. It’s a gem that I couldn’t wait to share with you and am sure that you will want to pass on.
The first ten minutes he reads the Scriptural text and explains a little of the background. The remaining 41 minutes contain his firey, uncompromising preaching. If more preachers preached like this we’d see less of the foolishness going on under the guise of “Christianity.”

This week’s sermon is entitled The Vine and the (True) Branches by Paul Washer. It is yet another powerful and convicting call for professing Christians to reexamine themselves to make sure they’re in the Faith. This is another must-have for your Paul Washer collection.

This week’s sermon is a must-hear for fathers; especially for father’s of daughters. This is a sermon that will definitely change your understanding on who is truly responsible for your daughter’s chastity and spiritual well-being.
In The Ungodly Practice of Dating, Pastor Tim Conway clearly lays out from the Bible how the father is ultimately responsible for the protection of his daughter.
Those familiar with Pastor Conway from previous sermons such as Hell is Necessary and The Fruits of Repentance will know that he pulls no punches and that this sermon on dating will certainly leave an impact.

If you were impacted by Francis Chan’s previous sermon posted here on Reformation Nation, you certainly don’t want to miss this one: Fighting Hypocrisy in the Church. It should be heard as a follow-up to his previous message.
This sermon is a very candid examination of hypocrisy in the church and its ramifications. This message needs to be heard by all Christians and I even recommend it to those who are not Christians, especially those who have chosen to leave the Church because of the hypocrisy they see in the lives of everyone around them.

This week’s sermon is entitled The Lost Doctrine of Repentance by Russ Sukhia. A candid examination of the repentance-less version of “Christianity” that’s so prevalent in America. This is another great message (39 minutes in duration) that you’ll want to add to your collection.

This week’s sermon is one that you simply must hear. Francis Chan delivers a very powerful sermon entitled Lukewarm & Lovin’ It that I’m sure left many in his congregation squirming in their seats. He starts off light-hearted but delivers a very convicting message. This is one of my favorite sermons.

Back in October I asked the question “What is your favorite Bible translation and why?” (See the post and comments by clicking here). With the increase in readership since then, I’d like to revisit the question. I’ve also added an audio clip from the Albert Mohler Program on the topic of which translation is best. Just click here to listen to the 26-minute discussion.
Additionally, I never divulged my preferred translation. So what better time than now? I prefer the New American Standard Bible (and use it for those posts in my Sola Scriptura category and anytime I quote the Bible on this blog unless otherwise noted). I also have in my library the ESV, KJV, NKJV, NIV, RSV, NCV, and The Message (just for laughs). I do all my studying and work from the NASB and prefer it.
What if Jesus had returned to Bethlehem and visited the Innkeeper who provided Mary and Joseph the stable? And what if this Innkeeper lost his own son to Herod’s soldiers when they killed all the baby boys two and under? John Piper explores this scenario in his short story entitled The Innkeeper. It’s an instant Christmas classic.

Unless Hollywood’s rich and famous now live in the projects, Willie Ramos, the self-proclaimed Ghetto Preacher (and 7th Day Adventist) needs to change his name. Based on the pictures on his site, the only thing he’s doing is hobnobbing with movie stars and giving them an Ellen G. White book to read (why not the Bible?). You can check out his favorite links hereand buy his shirt here. And what’s with the gang sign?
This genuine “Ghetto Preacher” named Bill Wilson doesn’t hang out with the rich and famous, he doesn’t have pictures of himself throwing up gang signs, he doesn’t brag about who he knows, and he hasn’t given himself any silly self-titled names like “The Ghetto Preacher.” Instead he’s quietly devoted his life to preaching the Gospel to those in the real ghetto for over 25 years. Pastor Wilson founded Metro Ministries in 1980 and has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the forgotten children of New York’s slums ever since. In this ministry he’s suffered great loss and great bodily harm for the cause of Christ.
I’ve had this sermon from Pastor Wilson (recorded in 1992) for over a decade and have recently transferred it to MP3. His message moved me the very first time I heard it and it still stands to this day as one of my top ten most cherished sermons. I would like to share this message with you. Take the time today to listen to Bill Wilson, a real “Ghetto Preacher:” It Doesn’t Take Much (God Doesn’t Love Everyone The Same)

The doctrine of Church discipline is one that most Christians are unaware even exists and which many others choose to ignore. However, not only is it real, it is a biblical mandate for the Church regardless if most pastors in America choose to ignore it (many times for fear it will hurt their church attendance numbers). Below are four great sermons on this very doctrine; one by Pastor Jeff Purswell and the other three by Pastor Chuck Betters. I encourage all Believers to listen to these four sermons and I strongly recommend pastors to listen to them as well.

Paul Washer’s most shocking sermon and one of the most downloaded sermons on the internet. You can listen to it or download it by clicking here.
Paul Washer is the preacher for this generation. If you are not familiar with him I highly recommend this sermon to get acquainted with him. Be warned though, you will be challenged in your Christianity-as-usual.
